Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.

Bonding
Bonding is a process in which tooth-colored filling material (composite resin) is applied to a tooth surface, sculpted to an ideal shape, hardened, and then polished for an ideal smile.  Bonding can be used to fill in gaps and change the shape or color of your teeth.  When teeth are chipped or slightly decayed, bonded composite resin may be the material of choice.  Bonding is typically a one visit procedure and should last many years. Bonding is generally not as permanent a process as veneers, and can be vulnerable to the same kind of staining your natural teeth are prone to. Bonding can also be more prone to chips and cracks than veneers, caps, or crowns These services are generally preferred over bonding when such a procedure isn't deemed to be effective in the long run. Read More...

Bridges
Bridges are natural looking dental appliances that can replace single or multiple missing teeth.  Replacement teeth are supported by teeth or implants adjacent to the space. Because they are custom made, bridges are rarely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth as well as the proper bite between upper and lower teeth. Referred to as fixed dental bridges, they are semi-permanent and are cemented or bonded to the existing teeth or implants. Only your dentist can remove a fixed bridge. Read More...

Toothaches
Simple toothaches can often be relieved by rinsing the mouth to clear it of debris and other matter. Tooth Colored Fillings
There are alternatives to conventional silver-colored fillings.  Natural-looking materials made from a composite of glass and resin are shaded to match natural tooth enamel. Unfortunately, few materials can match the strength and durability of dental amalgam and such, composite resins may need more frequent replacement.  However, tooth-colored fillings are bonded to tooth structure and can provide additional support for weak or cracked teeth. CEREC - Single Visit Crowns

Dental Crowns St. Louis MO

Crowns are synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, cemented or bonded on the top of a tooth.  Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth’s function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal.  When decay or fracture of a tooth is advanced such that large portions of the tooth are missing, crowns are often used to restore the tooth. Read More...
